12 Απρ 2023 · While the original meaning relieved some of the curiosity, IVE’s Wonyoung recently clarified how the word “kitsch” should be interpreted, giving fans their answer. In a recent interview, Wonyoung explained that the group gave a new meaning to the word to fit the confident theme of their song.
Their foul words reflect their own inner dissatisfaction and unfulfilled desires, projected onto Wony and the other IVE members. Wony advices them to look inside themselves, confront their own identities before casting judgment on others.
Ive (Korean: 아이브; RR: Aibeu; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Leeseo.
The pre-release song "Kitsch" emphasizes IVE's identity, which has become more solid through the past three single albums, but reveals a different charm. It's the same song as IVE's "Introduction," which is always unpredictable and brilliant.
