The scope of the IAF MLA is detailed in the IAF MLA Status document. The IAF MLA is structured in five levels: Level 1 specifies mandatory criteria that apply to all ABs, ISO/IEC 17011.
Determine the starting point for the total audit time of the integrated management system (IMS). Adjust the integrated audit time by considering factors that may increase or reduce the required audit time. Calculate the on-site audit duration. Consider how to split the audit time between Stage 1 and Stage 2.
This document is mandatory for the consistent application of the relevant clauses of ISO/IEC 17021-1 for audits of quality and environmental management systems. All clauses of ISO/IEC 17021-1 continue to apply and this document does not supersede any of the requirements in that standard.

14 Ιουν 2019 · IAF MD 5: 2019 Determination of Audit Time of Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems was published on 7th May 2019 with a 1-year application period, meaning that by 7th May 2020 the new version must be fully implemented and in use by all accredited Certification Bodies.
The International Accreditation Forum, Inc. (IAF) published a new guidance document for achieving a basic level of consistency for determining the audit time according to the application of the relevant requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1 for audits of different management systems.
