Organization Chart. Director (ST) Sriram Taranikanti, an IAS officer of 1992 batch of Tripura Cadre serves as the Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, from 12th September 2023. Before joining the Academy, he served as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Situated in Mussoorie, LBSNAA was established in 1959 as the National Academy of Administration for training career civil servants. It was created by a merger of the IAS Training School, Delhi and the IAS Staff College in Shimla. The Academy got its current name in July 1973 after the country’s second Prime Minister, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
