Operated by India's Union Government, LBSNAA is located in the remote town of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand in the foothills of the Himalayas.
The Academy is located at Mussoorie, a hill station at a height of little above 6580 ft. It is 35 Km. by road from the rail head at Dehradun and some 270 km. north of Delhi. From the main campus built on the Charleville estate, there have been subsequent expansions.

22 Δεκ 2021 · The Academy is located at Mussoorie, a hill station at a height of little above 6580 ft and is spread over 189 acres. It offers services like gym, tennis court, horse riding etc. A typical day at the academy normally starts at 6:00 AM with an exercise drill at the Polo Ground for an hour or a 6-10 km jog.
The academy offers spacious and well-endowed classrooms with the latest audio-visual facilities along with video-recording and video-conferencing facilities. There are four main buildings at the Academy: Karmashila, Dhruvshila, Gyanshila and Aadharshila.
