In the Update Access Keys application you can renew and download Update Access Keys (UAK) from IBM. It is available under the "My Entitled Hardware" menu option.
26 Ιουν 2020 · POWER8 (and later) servers include an “update access key” that is checked when system firmware updates are applied to the system. In order to be installed, the firmware must have been released prior to the expiration date of this key.
IBM® Electronic Service Agent (ESA) on IBM i has introduced a new feature to help clients easily manage the refreshment of their update access keys (UAK) for IBM i stand-alone partitions.

26 Μαΐ 2019 · As part of the introduction of POWER8 systems, IBM has also introduced the “Update Access Key”, which is necessary to perform firmware updates of the managed system. By default, newly delivered systems have an update access key that usually expires after 3 years.
15 Φεβ 2017 · There is a secret HMC function, which can update the keys automatically. I think this function has been introduced in the HMC FW 8.8.6 but I can’t find it documented in the ‘Read me’. Older releases have different window and the function is unavailable.
