2 Οκτ 2024 · An emergency medical services (EMS) narrative is a form of clinical documentation completed following dispatch and before hospital care. As an essential medical document, an accurate EMS narrative is vital for safe and efficient patient care transitions (Alatis et al., 2020).
Be sure to get a physician’s or nurse’s signature on the report prior to leaving the appropriate copy with the patient’s chart. Remember that it is not only in your patient’s best interest, but also for your own protection to make your reports as complete, legible and organized as possible.
