24 Απρ 2024 · Idaho law requires that any person without a valid motor vehicle license who wishes to operate an OHV on US Forest Service roads must take an IDPR-approved OHV safety course. Riders 15 years and younger who wish to operate an OHV on roads must also be supervised by an adult.
25 Σεπ 2024 · The OHV Education Program provides classes that are offered throughout the state for anyone who will be operating an OHV including an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), motorbike, or utility type vehicles (UTV).
To operate an ATV or UTV on Idaho public lands, you must display a valid IDPR (Parks and Recreation) registration sticker. Regardless of when you register your ATV or UTV in Idaho, the registration will expire on December 31 of the year in which it is issued.
7 Σεπ 2023 · To transport your ATV or UTV on public roads in Idaho, you must have a valid restricted license plate, IDPR OHV registration, driver’s license, and liability insurance. Make sure to follow all licensing and registration requirements for highway use.
OHV maps are available from the IDPR through the Idaho Trail Mapping Program. To find ATV, motorbike, and UTV trails, visit the IDPR’s trail mapping website. On this website, you can select your riding area. Then you can print your map and also export it to Google Earth or a GPS unit.
