Windows has a tendency to "forget" it's card reader drivers. That is, you insert the card, and the OS never responds. It's as though the "card inserted" event just stops happening. If this is the problem, all you need to do is reboot. A real pain, but it works.

The terminal is showing when I insert the CAC but it shows that it’s failing to read the CAC. I try a different CAC reader on two different PCs. Upon attempting to login I am met with the same notification that it’s not finding any certificates on the CAC.
