Oppressions like racism, classism, adultism, and ageism occur at different levels: Ideological, Institutional, Interpersonal, and Internal. Ideological: A system of beliefs or ideas. Institutional: Using the laws, the legal system, the education system, public policy, media, political power, etc… to maintain ideology.
