9 Μαΐ 2012 · I was also getting this error as I was setting the props.put("mail.smtp.starttls.enable", myMailConfig.StartTLS); and here myMailConfig.StartTLS was String and had a true value, So this String literal was the very first cause.

23 Νοε 2020 · 530 #5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. The ssl-certificate is installed on the smtp-server and is working as expected. Here is the log from the communication between our mailserver and the affected mailserver.
