The Government of India, through the Ministry of Education, has established seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs). These institutes are located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.
IISER Tirupati is now functioning in a temporary campus with facilities like library, computer centre, health centre, sports facilities, gymnasium, canteen and hostel. IISER Tirupati courses include undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in fields of science.
The BS-MS dual degree programme is an undergraduate program designed to impart a thorough fundamental knowledge in all fields of chemistry. The course layout is demanding and is constantly upgraded to incorporate current advances in chemistry.
