Mod Managers in general are a really bad Idea. Instead of taking care of your duplicates, they will rename them (which will not fix the problem), or they just tell a mod is broken but it actually isn't. If you want to keep track of your errors, I recommend Better Exceptions by TwistedMexi or Mccc by Deaderpool.
I've had a lot of fun with the mod Stratera Balance, which changes a lot of mechanics in a way I love, makes the game a bit harder and prevents blobbing. It has other mods integrated in it too. I also add Simple Timeline Extender, because that gives me something Invictus can't.

Certain things are hardcoded, i.e. not available for modding, such as changing mapmodes and diplomatic actions or adding new hotkeys. Important: the majority of mods will change the checksum, not allowing the player to get achievements.
10 Μαΐ 2021 · Imperator: Invictus is a grand modpack and community update to Imperator: Rome. (Achievement compatible on 2.0.4, works on Ironman and MacOS now)
