Since 1995, Inkwell has been a vital part of the American literary ecosystem. A publication of The MFA Program in Creative Writing at Manhattanville Univerity, we publish new poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid genre work, craft essays, and interviews.
General Submissions Guidelines. Inkwell accepts unsolicited submissions in poetry, prose and artwork. We strongly suggest writers review past copies before submitting their work. Spring 2012 and Fall 2012 General Reading Period: August 1 – November 15, 2011

Please write a cover letter for your submission that includes the title (s) of your work, your contact information (email and phone), and a short bio telling us what we need to know about you and how you identify so that we can meet your work on its own terms.

InkWell says to include a query letter and short writing sample of 1-2 chapters in the body of your email.
Inkwell welcomes submissions of content from the Annie Wright community. Individual and recurrent submissions of work can be published in Inkwell’s Journal and online. All published submissions will receive bylines or credits.
