Step 1: Prepare the Area. The first step in laying a patio on sand is to prepare the area. This involves removing any grass, plants, or debris from the site, and excavating the soil to a depth of around 150-200mm. Once you have excavated the area, add a layer of MOT Type 1 to the bottom of the hole.

12 Απρ 2024 · To ensure your pavers are level, you really need to take out about 6 inches of dirt and haul it away, especially if you have clay-like soil. Then, put down a layer of road base topped by a layer of dense sand, and put your pavers on top of that.
