Through statistics I have seen that the acceptance rates are higher for Aerospace than EE or CS, but marginally so (I'll take those odds). I have heard internal transfers are hard at UT Austin, but what if you are already in that college (Engineering) or in a college of similar difficulty (Engineering college to CNS)?
13 Ιουν 2022 · Anecdotally, internally transferring seems a little bit easier. I recall seeing somewhere that the admissions rate for internal transfers is surprisingly high, around 40-50%. A recent email went out reporting 250-300 applicants each year of which around a third are admitted.
I did it, and I would say it’s doable, but not easy. Like others have said, a 4.0 is as close to a guarantee as you can get. You should strategically choose classes and professors (UT Registration + chrome extension and UT Catalyst help with this).
