29 Μαΐ 2010 · The set time automatically option will only appear if your carrier supports automatic time setting. Not all carriers support this, & if your carrier does not support this, that setting will not appear. The time update is done over the carrier network, hence the need for carrier support.
18 Μαρ 2021 · About NTP time synchronization on iOS. Connect to VPN caused one or two second of delay of automatic time. NTP sync should always passed to WiFi/LAN and not VPN. Also, iOS should able to manually set NTP address instead of hardcoded “time.apple.com”. iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14.
26 Ιουν 2018 · Go to settings>general>date & time - turn off set automatically. Next go to settings>privacy>location services>system services - turn off setting time zone. Once you have done that you can set your time the way you want it.
25 Σεπ 2020 · You can manually set a time zone or have the time zone set automatically based on your location. In both situations the time will be accurate. Are you making an assumption that time is only accurate when a time zone is set automatically?
You probably want SNTP. The thing to watch for is that NTP usually makes small adjustments to a clock over a long time, with repeated accesses to the time server, so that the computer doesn't get spooked by a large jump in wallclock time (think cron).
The time zone on your iPhone is set automatically, but if you don’t have Location Services turned on or you don’t have service, you can change it manually. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time. Turn off Set Automatically, then tap Time Zone.
If an user is somehow using his/her own "weird" time the app should detect that and tell the user to switch back to use the app. I know there is NSSystemClockDidChangeNotification, but that only gives back when the time is changed.
