Interval Shuttle Run Test (ISRT) is an intermittent fitness test where athletes run for 30 seconds periods interspersed with 15 seconds of walking. The test was developed by Lemmink et al. since 2000.
This group of athletes are doing what they call the Interval Shuttle Run Test. The test looks like a variation of the beep test, similar to the Yo-Yo test. Notice the markers a couple of meters before the turning line, which is used to indicate the area which they must be in when it beeps otherwise they get a failure warning.
The reliability of the interval shuttle run test (ISRT) as a submaximal and maximal field test to measure intermittent endurance capacity was examined. During the ISRT, participants alternately run for 30 seconds and walk for 15 seconds.
1 Μαρ 2024 · The 30-15 IFT consists of 30-second shuttle runs interspersed with 15-second walking recovery periods. The test starting speed is 8 km/h (i.e. first 30-second shuttle run), and this speed increases by 0.5 km/h for every 30-second stage thereafter.
The Interval Shuttle Run Test (ISRT) is a widely used physical test for team sports players. Clubs ranging from amateur to professional levels use this test to get insights into the physical fitness of the players.

Within a 2-week period, 17 intermittent sport players (i.e., 10 men and 7 women) performed the ISRT twice in a sports hall under well-standardized conditions. Heart rates per speed and total number of runs were assessed as submaximal and maximal performance measures.
