19 Ιαν 2021 · I dont know about downgrading, as iTunes is very picky with old ipsw files, but to upgrade to the latest version of ios supported. (Directions for a windows pc) Download this. Press and hold shift then click restore and select where the ipsw file was downloaded and click open. This should restore and update manually.
25 Ιουλ 2009 · I just got a new (replacement) first gen iPod touch with OS 1.1.5. I purchased the OS update for 2.2.1 and used that before my home button went bad. Now that I have the new device, I can't figure out how to upgrade the OS. iTunes will gladly allow me to purchase 3.0, but I don't want it.
