7 Ιαν 2020 · #1. Would very much appreciate any and all recommendations/suggestions for which Image Editing or Graphic Viewer software/application is best suited for macOS Catalina. And if at all possible, FREE !! I have used IrfanView for years on my Windows laptop and find it a truly excellent programme!
I am not looking for a one-to-one replacement of IrfanView, but something similar. I eventually settled on Xee3 by MacPaw but it can't do basic things like resize or crop images. Does anyone know of a Mac app that is similar to IrfanView?
24 Σεπ 2013 · There is no native-Mac version of IrfanView. However, you can use IrfanView in conjunction with Mac program like WineBottler/DARWINE. Take the ZIP version of IrfanView and unzip it or copy your existing Windows IrfanView folder to Mac.
26 Αυγ 2024 · IrfanView is not available for Mac but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on macOS with similar functionality. The best Mac alternative is XnView MP. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try nomacs or qView.
31 Ιαν 2010 · Here's the instructions for installing it I got from the Codeweavers forum: I am using OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2, and Crossover Pro V8.0.1. Here is how I installed Irfanview 4.25, I made the text below as a How-To. for my self after reading some of the forum posts.

This free software is a wrapper for WINE, which unlike other Windows emulators is really simple to set up. It just works. 1- download WineBottler from the above site, and install it. 2- Download the latest version of IrfanView (4.25)
