Deltamethrin is low in toxicity when it is touched or breathed in and is low to moderately toxic if eaten. Deltamethrin can affect dogs and cats if they eat, breathe, or touch it. It can cause vomiting, drooling, in-coordination, and muscle tremors if they eat enough of it.
Deltamethrin Side Effects, Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and Warnings. Do not administer deltamethrin topically (pour-ons, spraying, spot-on, shampoos, soaps, sprays, etc.) in case of extended skin lesions: this can lead to an excessive absorption through the damaged skin.
15 Φεβ 2019 · Deltamethrin is highly toxic to all life forms, especially humans and aqueous animals. No matter the concentration, deltamethrin causes insects and other arthropods to suffer from hyperactivity, paralyzation, and death.
In a 2-year repeated dose toxicity study in dogs, groups of 16 animals (8 per sex) received in their diet deltamethrin at levels of 0, 1, 10 and 40 mg/kg feed (approximately equivalent to 0, 0.025, 0.265 and 1 mg/kg bw/day).

Deltamethrin exhibits low toxic effects on animals. Beagle dogs were tested during an experiment and were fed deltamethrin for 24 months at 1, 10 and 40 μg/g . No adverse effects were observed. Nonetheless, a dose of 10 mg/kg body weight per day led to signs of abnormal movements, convulsions and changes in blood biochemical parameters.
