Fluctuating hot spells/cold chills (was unable to determine if a true fever was involved). Heaves every 20 minutes. Weakness, shivers, and extreme fatigue, but no ability to sleep. It was pure misery. Should have probably gone to the ER, but I wasn't rational toward the end of it.
If there was e coli in it it would start within a few hours and last up to 10 days. As long as the meat wasn't old or sitting in bad conditions you are fine. Steak Tartar is raw hamburger basically and people eat that all the time. E. Coli infections are reported and generally involve recalls.
