Netflix Death Note movie was so damn good! Analysis. Just rewatched it and man, it’s such a good movie. Like a majority of you, I overall disliked it my first time watching it, or the second time. We love the manga/anime so much, it’s nearly perfect and it’s an insult to Americanize it and give us an hour and 40 minutes.
Simply put it's brilliant because the rewrite kept all the main character and elements, but completely changed each character's driving motivation, moral compass, role in the plot, and even the underlying rules and function of the Death Note and Ryuk.
