Isosceles trapezoid is a trapezoid in which the top and bottom sides are parallel, while the remaining two non-parallel sides have the same length. We know that a trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two parallel sides and two non-parallel sides.
Properties of a isosceles trapezoid. The bases (top and bottom) of an isosceles trapezoid are parallel. Opposite sides of an isosceles trapezoid are the same length (congruent). The angles on either side of the bases are the same size/measure (congruent). The diagonals are congruent.
