This Mauser Model Israeli K98 1939 is a right hand bolt action rifle in 7.62x51mm Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A blade front sight and an adjustable numbered sliding notch middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood.
This ERMA produced Model K98 Mauser was converted after World War II for use by the newly formed country of Israel. They used surplus small arms from several different countries and rearsenaled many K98s to fire 7.62 NATO instead of 8mm Mauser.
