29 Μαρ 2022 · The Nines The beloved pizza joint took its name from its building—the original, early 1900s home of Ithaca’s Fire Station No. 9. A new station was built next door in the 1960s, and the Nines opened in the early 1970s as a bar, restaurant, and music venue (first called “Old No. 9”).

3 Απρ 2019 · A one-story building the duo owned at 325 College Avenue was taken down in part to make way for a future development, and the pair made a massive $15.6 million purchase of multiple properties across the street from the Nines late last year.
This College Avenue pizzeria and bar is in a former firehouse building — the new station number 9 was built next door — and for decades has offered the area’s finest deep-dish pizza, plus sandwiches and a few surprises, as well as a great patio for eating outside and watching the world go by.
