29 Μαρ 2022 · The Nines. The beloved pizza joint took its name from its building—the original, early 1900s home of Ithaca’s Fire Station No. 9. A new station was built next door in the 1960s, and the Nines opened in the early 1970s as a bar, restaurant, and music venue (first called “Old No. 9”). Its outdoor patio was one of Collegetown’s largest.
