JABO, Inc. Reno, Ohio. 1987 – The present. JABO, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Joanne Argabrite and Jack Bogard. Mr. Bogard was the owner of the Bogard Company which had suffered financial setbacks while in Cairo, WV. Ms. Argabrite was the accountant who was helping him resuscitate his company.
This page is dedicated to the Identification of the JABO Inc. Sammy Mountain, and Dave’s Appalachian Swirl (D.A.S.) Marbles beginning with the Experimental Runs in late 2007 – Today by marble master and legend Dave McCullough.
These Jabo, DAS, and SMM, are going to need a book to go-with. For sure! Thanks to marble community members, for posting very cool ones, that got me started on just getting what I can while they’re out there.
8 Ιουλ 2011 · I share MARBLEMISER’s views and experiences with the private run JABO marbles. The first (and I thought last) JABO run caused a wild eyed frenzy at an Amana show several years ago that reminded me of sales boom and busts involving Jim Beam bottles, Cabbage Patch Dolls and the like. An investment? Hardly.
With a lucrative industrial marble business, JABO would purchase a location in Williamstown, WV to increase production for the industrial marble demand, though colorful marbles were never made. By 2006, JABO's industrial marble business was waning to the point of massive cutbacks and Joanne's order to halt production of Classics.
6 Δεκ 2017 · Recently inherited a sizeable collection of JABO brand marbles of different types and sizes. Almost all are from the closed plant in Southern Ohio. Help is needed identifying and placing possible values to them.
What marble manufacturer made the best marbles? I am limiting this to the earliest machine made marbles companies...if you want to vote for more modern manufacturers like Marble King, Vitro, Jabo or Mega, pick option 6.
