10 Μαΐ 2023 · One of their most significant hardships was the untimely and tragic death of their father, William Herbert Lennon. He was murdered by a deranged fan and stalker who mistakenly believed he was married to one of the sisters.
On August 12, 1969, their father, William Lennon, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Venice Golf Course in Marina Del Rey, where he worked as a private instructor. Shortly before his death, Lennon had retired from managing his daughters' careers; he had been on set at every one of their television appearances since 1955.
