JDK 23 is the latest release of the Java SE Platform. JDK 21 is the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release of the Java SE Platform. Earlier JDK versions are available below. JDK 23 binaries are free to use in production and free to redistribute, at no cost, under the Oracle No-Fee Terms and Conditions (NFTC).
For production use Oracle recommends downloading the latest JDK version. Only developers and enterprise administrators should download these releases. For current Java releases, please visit Oracle Java SE Downloads .
JDK 21. This release is the Reference Implementation of version 21 of the Java SE Platform, as specified by JSR 396 in the Java Community Process. JDK 21 reached General Availability on 19 September 2023. Production-ready binaries under the GPL are available from Oracle; binaries from other vendors will follow shortly.
You can install the JDK by downloading the appropriate Oracle JDK MSI Enterprise Installer for your system and running it from the command line. Download jdk-21 _windows-x64_bin.msi. Open an MS-DOS prompt with Administrative permissions.
