Both the Jedi Code and the Sith Code have their own pros and cons, but it is clear that the Jedi Code focuses more on the betterment of everyone while the Sith Code is more selfish in nature.

The Sith Code vs. The Jedi Code. The Sith Code is often seen in contrast to the Jedi Code. While the Jedi seek balance and harmony, the Sith embrace chaos and conflict. Here's a quick comparison: Emotions: Jedi control their emotions; Sith harness them. Power: Jedi seek to use power for good; Sith seek power for its own sake.
The Sith Code is selfish, because it focuses on the self where the Jedi Code focuses on the relationship with the Force. I think that neither is better or worse than the other (Nor inherently light or dark, but I know that's an unpopular opinion) but they focus on different aspects of one's relationship with the Force.
The grey code can either be read as “I’m a jedi but with extra words” or “I am above falling to the dark side because I’m special and I say so.” This particular code seems to skew more towards the former.
