Brokers - beware of text messages saying that you haven’t renewed. The Commission does not communicate with brokers via text. Do not click links in suspicious texts. The only place to renew your broker license is at NCREC.gov.

The license renewal fee is $45, a $5 increase, and the first increase in more than 10 years. There are two ways to renew your license: 1) go to the Commission’s Web site on or after May 15 and log into your record using your personal identification number (PIN).
Activation & Affiliation: Activate the broker’s license and affiliate the broker with a BIC. Affiliation Only: The broker’s license is already active. Affiliate the broker with a BIC. (This is also the right choice for a secondary or dual affiliation.) Select the firm that you are affiliating with.
