17 Φεβ 2012 · I've already installed a gate valve on the water line directly from the pump but was wondering if I should run a pressure relief valve as well? Will I see pressures high enough to worry about blowing a gasket with a stock pump setup?
14 Ιουν 2011 · I need some help with my jet boat w/ ford 460 berkeley jet. it is still building too much water pressure at 3,000 rpm after install pressure relief valve. It builds 20 psi plus even with the valve all the way open.
12 Ιουλ 2010 · You want either a pressure regulator or a pressure relief valve. You can get a house regulator at lowes or homedepot, it's what alot of guys on use, including me. This topics been beaten to death, some guys say all you need is two dumps, some say adjust the gate/ball valve at the pump.
If this is your situation, then install a pressure relief valve system on your jet drive water feed in addition to what I have just discussed in the set up above. PERFORMANCE JET sells our own pressure relief kit for $149.

The kit from Pack-A-Jet will come with a brass pressure relief valve with 1/2" npt bypass outlet and a stainless steel extension tube for easy installation. Direct fit to the Berkeley models 12JC and 12JG 3/8" npt water inlet, but can be used on other models as well.
