28 Μαΐ 2024 · You will have immigration at your arrival terminal, then collect bags to go through customs. But after customs you drop the bags off on a conveyor. You don't have to queue up with your airline to re-check them as they should already be tagged for your destination.
I am travelling to JFK international airport terminal 1 with my family on May 28. We will land at 8 pm. Does anybody know the aprox waiting times for immigration and customs?
The link provided gives you immigration wait times. It doesn't include baggage claim or customs. Customs usually goes fairly quickly though, especially since you are an American. Unless your flight is delayed massively, you should be fine.
