30 Αυγ 2013 · I am flying from London to NYC in late September, and wonder out of terminal 7 and 8 which one is quicker in terms of getting through immigration and luggage? I've flown to terminal 4 a couple of times, but the queue for getting through the immigration were just too long - at least 40 mins wait. Your advice and insight are much appreciated. Thanks!
15 Απρ 2024 · When you land in the United States, you’ll first have to clear immigration. Then you’ll have to wait at the baggage claim belt, and once you have all your belongings, you’ll then clear customs. Once you exit the immigration hall there’s almost always going to be a transit counter where you can re-check your bags.

6 years ago. Delta has a flight from London Heathrow to New York JFK with a 1 hour 40 minute connection time to a flight to Minneapolis. Is that enough time to clear Immigration and Customs? See cbp.gov/travel/preclearance for more information. Also, the answer to 3 is definitely no. The traveler will have to clear immigration and customs in New York.
