If I'm arriving internationally for a connecting flight, do I need to pick up my bags and recheck them? Yes, all internationally arriving passengers must claim their luggage at JFK. Recheck counters are available just outside Customs for any bags that are checked to their final destination.
If all flights are on the same itinerary, international fees and rules apply to passengers traveling internationally with a connection or stopover in the U.S. If an international passenger travels to the U.S. and continues their travel within the U.S. on a separate ticket, domestic rules apply. Does Delta offer domestic flights from a specific terminal at JFK? Delta uses both Terminals 2 and 4 for domestic flights. Your specific departure terminal will be listed on your boarding pass or flight information.
Delta Airlines (DL) will charge the following for bags that are greater than the standard 50 pounds or 23 kilograms on U S domestic flights: 51 to 70 pounds or 24 to 32 kilograms: $100.00 USD extra per bag. 71 to 100 pounds or 33 to 46 kilograms: $200.00 USD extra per bag.
