Plot summary. Immediately following the events of Changes, Harry finds himself between life and the afterlife, where he is informed that there has been an "irregularity" with his death and is given the option to return to Chicago as a spirit and find his killer.

Dresden fans will get lots of action and will see many of the recurring characters of the series.

Ghost Story is the thirteenth novel in The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher,[1] released in 2011. It has fifty-one chapters. Ghost Story was originally scheduled for release in late March but was postponed for three months to ensure that it was "full-assed".
'Ghost Story' is an unconventional one, even by Jim Butcher's standards – it begins after the narrator, Harry Dresden, was shot by an unseen sniper in the previous novel Changes. There is no deus ex machina or cliffhanger resolution in the first chapter – Harry really is dead as a doornail.
