The Jimmy Clay Golf Course opened in 1974; designed by noted golf course architect Joe Finger. Located in Southeast Austin and surrounded by Williamson Creek, the course plays 6,918 yards through traditional tree-lined fairways and elevated open greens.
The six city-operated public golf courses and one short-practice course are centrally located and minutes from downtown Austin. Each course is unique in design and setting, and golfers of all ages and skill levels visit the Golf ATX courses to play recreational and competitive golf.

Jimmy Clay Golf Course. 5400 Jimmy Clay Dr, Austin, TX, 78744-4600. Holes 18 Par 72 Length 6857 yards. In 1994, Jimmy Clay Golf Course became part of a 36-hole complex with the addition of Roy Kizer Golf Course on the southern portion of the site.
Renovated in 2007, Jimmy Clay Golf Course is plenty for anyone from the back tees, playing 6,914 yards, and it features a mix of open holes and narrow doglegs. The par-4 third is a tight dogleg right through a chute of trees with a creek down the left side.
