Since 2009, registration for jobs with PSC are done online. Candidates must register using Borang Permohonan Pekerjaan Dalam Perkhidmatan Awam ( SPA8i) and the physical form (Borang OMR SPA8) no longer in use. Candidates can apply to a maximum of 15 jobs based on their qualification and interest.

The 95th Nursing Board Malaysia Meeting held on the 18th March 2010 has agreed to the amendment to the criteria for employment of foreign trained nurses at health facilities and institutions of higher learning, public and private and agreed upon by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Only those nurses that have been approved by the Selection Committee for Recruitment of Foreign Trained Nurses are allowed to practice in Malaysia. The highest Nursing Positions shall hold by Malaysian citizens only. Application for employment must be through the employer.
The job applications on eSMSM are made through the PSC Job Registration System (SPA9) which is made available on the official PSC portal at www.spa.gov.my. The Availability of Vacant Post.
