  5. To register or log on, click the appropriate button below. If all your employment in the past 18 months was in one state and that state is not Ohio, you cannot file using this online application. Click here for more information. The online initial application takes about 25 minutes.

  6. Click “Login” and log in using your OHID credentials. On the Main Menu screen, "File a New Claim for Unemployment Benefits.” It will take you to a personal information page.
