Kapp played for the Calgary Stampeders (1959-1960) and British Columbia Lions (1961-1966) before returning to the U.S. to play for the Minnesota Vikings (1967-1969) and Boston Patriots (1970). Kapp was a CFL Grey Cup champion in 1964 and led the Vikings to the 1969 NFC Championship and loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl IV.
