29 Ιαν 2012 · Love one another — it’s a command we’ve noted many times before. Jesus commands His followers to love one another. We hear it again today in the passage before us in John 15:12-16. And at first glance, when you hear the command you might have one of two reactions.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.

From verses 9–17, Jesus emphasizes the importance of love, both toward Himself and others.
Contemporary English Version. Now I tell you to love each other, as I have loved you.
