awarded to Joint Activities of the Armed Forces of the US which have subsequent to January 23, 1979 distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious achievement or service in pursuit of joint military missions of great significance.
The Service member must occupy a billet on the Joint Table of Distribution, Joint Manning Document, or a Joint Table of Mobilization Distribution, and must have rendered superior meritorious service or outstanding achievement.
