23 Αυγ 2017 · Updated 5 p.m.: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office has issued level 2 evacuation notices near the Jolly Mountain Fire in Upper Kittitas County.
1 Σεπ 2017 · CLE ELUM, Wa. --- Nearly three weeks after lightning sparked dry terrain in Kittitas County, the Jolly Mountain Fire remains zero percent contained. About 400 firefighters are battling the blaze, which has burned an estimated 10,532 acres as of Thursday night. The fire is 11 miles northwest of Cle Elum.
8 Σεπ 2017 · The fire complex had doubled in size -- up to almost 70 square miles -- from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to updates from InciWeb, and further growth Wednesday triggered the closure of a large portion of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the area.
