The Journal of Anthropological Sciences (JASs; ISSN 1827-4765) is the official publication of the Istituto Italiano di Antropologia (ISItA). It is the continuation of the Atti della Società Romana di Antropologia (from 1893 to 1910) and Rivista di Antropologia (until 2003).
The 100 th volume of the Journal of Anthropological Sciences has been published in 2022. For this occasion, the JASs offers its readers a special issue with invited papers that address some of the main research topics in Anthropology.
The series has been established to publish books in psychological anthropology and related fields of cognitive anthropology, ethnopsychology and cultural psychology. It includes works of original theory, empirical research, and edited collections that address current issues.
Ethos: Journal of the Society for Psychological Anthropology is the flagship publication of the SPA. Ethos is an interdisciplinary and international quarterly journal devoted to scholarly articles concerning the interrelationships between individuals and sociocultural milieu.
This year we have our own 100th to celebrate: the 100th issue of the Journal of Anthropological Sciences (JASs). Its goals should be to rebuild anthropology on firm psychological as well as cultural foundations, to revise psychology in the light of evidence from all parts of humanity, and to launch psychosocial research programs yielding knowledge that leads to deeper understanding and wiser policy.
Anthropological psychology will be relevant to the topic of cultural competency in applied fields such as clinical and counseling psychology, school psychology, and community psychology. It will increase the understanding of cultural persons, of how context contributes to a person’s psychology.
