3 Φεβ 2023 · The Namibia Correctional Services released the names of 245 candidates who were successful from a shortlist of about 15 000 applicants. These candidates must report to the Lucius Mahoto Correctional Service Training College at Omaruru on 27 and 28 February 2023 for six-months' basic training.
The objectives of the Police College are to provide basic training to police students, advance training, in-service training and on the job training to members and officers of the Force and also to render training assistance to other government Departments and institutions.
THE recruitment and training of the next generation of police officers has just started with this year’s intake of 707 recruits who are currently undergoing their basic training at the Ruben Danger Ashipala Police Training Centre at Ondangwa in the Oshana Region.

12 Σεπ 2023 · The training program, which began on August 1, 2023, will span nine months. The first eight months will encompass theoretical and physical activities at the training centre, followed by one month of work-integrated learning at various police stations across the country.
Pius Joseph Kaundu Training Center. The centre is responsible for conducting basic police training and its current intake capacity is at 500 students.
