The Battle of Jargeau took place on 11–12 June 1429. It was part of the Loire Campaign during the Hundred Years' War, where the forces of Charles VII of France successfully recaptured much of the region, following their victory at the Siege of Orléans.

THE BATTLE OF JARGEAU The fight for Jargeau in 1429 was the second engagement in Joan of Arc’s brief military career. After successfully repelling the English from their siege of Orléans on the Loire River, Joan sought to capitalize on the momentum that was growing in the French ranks and recapture the nearby English-held towns.
