The jury fee is $40 per day for all New York State Courts and for Town and Village courts. Every person who serves as a juror in the New York State Courts or the Town and Village courts is entitled to be paid at least the $40 fee for each day that they report in person for jury service.
In New York, employers are required to provide you with unpaid time off for reporting to jury selection or jury duty. You may have to show your employer your jury summons in order to be given the necessary leave. Your employer can never punish you for missing work to attend jury duty.
For the first 3 days of jury service, employers of more than 10 must pay the jury fee or the wage. Beginning on the 4th day of jury service, the State pays the jury fee to employees who are not paid at least the jury fee by their employers.

20 Σεπ 2023 · An employer with more than 10 employees, has to pick up the $40 daily tab for the first three days of jury service. If your place of employment has 10 or fewer employees, if you are self-employed, or if you are unemployed, the state will pay you.
22 Αυγ 2023 · The jury fee is $40 per day. If service extends beyond 30 days the court may authorize an additional $6 per day per juror. The fee is paid by the State or the employer depending on (1) the day of service and (2) the size of employer. Employers’ jury fee obligations are explained below.
