22 Ιαν 2021 · Having been to both properties many times, this review may help in making your choice between the Westin and the JW Marriott in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This opinion is based on a recent visit during the Covid Pandemc in January, 2021, so all things are considered.
7 Νοε 2024 · The Westin is an all inclusive property with lots of activities during the day and night with an animation program, the JW Marriott is not all inclusive but it is a very deluxe hotel as well. Have a great trip!
I saw the Westin only from the outside, but it's right near the beach, which is much better and more interesting than the Marriott beach. Some people will try to sell you things, but nowhere near as many as in Tamarindo (nice beach, but I didn't like the town at all). The current is strong at Playa Conchal, but it's very scenic.
My husband is platinum Marriott / Starwood so we are looking at the JW and Westin. Any positives / negatives to both? They both seem great so and insider look of people who have stayed may help us decide.

Of the three listed above, which is the best for just a couple looking to get away from it all and relax? Am a Spanish speaker so no problem at an alternative if necessary.
