Our school consists of three institutes. Placement in our Medical Science and Humanities Institutes is highly competitive and dependent upon strong academic performance. Our school currently offers 21 different Advanced Placement courses. The Liberal Arts & Science Institute serves students who reside in the geographical catchment area.
Placement in our Medical Science and Humanities Institutes is highly competitive and dependent upon strong academic performance. Our school currently offers 22 different Advanced Placement courses. Midwood has over 80 student-led clubs, 25 PSAL teams, and multiple student publications.
The school enrolls approximately 4,000 students and is comprised of three main programs: Medical Science, Humanities, and Liberal Arts. We provide rigorous college preparatory instruction combined with the arts, sports and clubs.
Nearly half are zoned for the school and the rest enroll in competitive, highly selective medical science and humanities programs. Students in the Medical Science Institute have the ability to take five years of science in four years and concentrate in research, robotics or medical issues.
