29 Απρ 2002 · Procedure: 1. Source parts needed for swap 2. Source a motorset.3. Remove cooling fan and fan shroud. Remove old motor from chassis. You can unbolt the motor mounts from above or below. Guide the motor out, making sure it doesn't damage anything on it's way out. Pull the tranny with it so that it will be easier to remove, should you be resuing it.

Here is the COMPLETE (to my knowlege, dont hold it against me if I missed a small detail) write up on the swap since it seemed we didn’t have a really thorough one. Parts Needed: – New engine. – Oil&filter, 4 quarts will do.
27 Ιουλ 2009 · so i own a '92 hardbody with the ka24e in it. The engine is old and i'm tired of looking at it. I have the opportunity to get a de out of a newer frontier. the listing says it will fit 2001-2004 models.
30 Μαρ 2008 · If you go with the frontier KA24de its a direct swap in deal but the 240sx engine will pose a few clearance issues with the oil pan, plus you will have to rewire for the ignition setup. peace.
14 Αυγ 2009 · This is a simple parts list of the basic, junkyard friendly KA24DE swap necessities. Each car is different, special, so feel free to add your opinions, list changes, updates, anything. I've been compiling this as I've swapped in my motor, and everything has been fairly correct so far.
10 Ιαν 2006 · What i want to know is weather or not it is worth rebuilding the ka24de and swapping it into my 89 (ka24e). The motor is seized up right now. I am looking at new main bearings, connecting bearings, piston rings, full gasket kit for 300$. That is if the motor is still repairable.
I’m planning to do an engine swap on my 1990 Nissan Hardbody, but can’t make up my mind whether a Ka24DE or a KA24E. Ive done a little bit of research on my own and come to the conclusion KA24DE is my best option.
